Oopsie Mamushka is a group of vibrant string players that specialise in high energy performances that are guaranteed to entertain.
Originally formed in 1999 Oopsie Mamushka have developed a show combining marvellous musicianship, fancy footwork and a healthy dose of audience participation that will get a room buzzing with delight.
Often to be found performing in Covent Garden Market, London, Oopsie Mamushka have taken the unrestrained style of street theatre and adapted it to suit almost every occasion. Perfect for festivals, corporate events, weddings and other celebrations, Oopsie Mamushka will make your event memorable. The show is ideal for after-dinner entertainment or even at an event's opening for the meet and greet.
In addition to the show, Oopsie Mamushka enjoy showcasing their accomplished musicianship in the more traditional style. With a large and varied repertoire they have music to cater for everyone. As an accompaniment to champagne receptions, meals or other gatherings Oopsie Mamushka are a model string group.
Formed of conservatoire graduates Oopsie Mamushka are proud to count among them a number of successful musicians and performers. Members have played with the LSO, performed with Jon Cale and appeared with Gorrilaz at the Brits. Recordings for major labels and TV shows are other experiences the members of Oopsie Mamushka can draw from.
Oopsie Mamushka have performed at; Union Chapel, The Gibson Rooms, Shunt, Southwark Playhouse, The Old Vic Tunnels, The Dorchester, The Hilton, The Tower of London, The British Museum and a whole host of other venues. Their clients have included; Microsoft, HSBC, Samsung, BBC, Channel 4, All Night Music and Lost toys records.
Oopsie Mamushka are also very happy to be involved in music education and have enjoyed providing music workshops for all, young or old.
